The biggest Polish cycling race — Tour de Pologne UCI World Tour — from next year will return to the Eurosport. Yesterday, at the headquarters of TVN Warner Bros. Discovery in Warsaw, a press conference was held by Lang Team and Eurosport, during which the cooperation was announced.
Tour de Pologne, Tour de Pologne Women, and ORLEN Nations Grand Prix will, from the next season, have a coverage on Eurosport — the “home of cycling.” The collaboration was announced at a special conference that took place at the headquarters of TVN Warner Bros. Discovery in Warsaw, attended by Czesław Lang — General Director of Lang Team, Łukasz Fijałkowski — Operations Director of Eurosport, as well as invited guests, Eurosport commentators, and journalists.
After a four-year break, the biggest cycling race in this part of Europe will again be broadcast by Eurosport. Thanks to this partnership, coverage of the 82nd Tour de Pologne and subsequent editions will be broadcast on the television channels in 65 countries in Europe and worldwide, as well as on the Max platform and other partner platforms, which will allow for even wider promotion of Poland on the international stage.
“We all missed Tour de Pologne on Eurosport. Besides the sporting values of the race, which it undoubtedly has, we are simultaneously pursuing the path of promoting Poland by showcasing our country. I am very happy that 65 countries will be able to watch Poland and not only see the sports emotions but also see how Poland is changing. Eurosport will be a very good platform for showcasing our country and, of course, the greatest sports emotions,” said Czesław Lang, General Director of Lang Team and Tour de Pologne.
“Unfortunately, due to the floods, we cannot go to the Karkonosze mountains, through which we planned to lead the race. In the future, it will definitely be a beautiful corner, and we will hold races there, but for now, we have to move away from there a bit. Next year we plan the Beskidy, Tatra Mountains in Silesia and Lesser Poland. I think all stages will be very interesting and demanding,” added the main organizer of the Tour de Pologne.
Importantly, the cooperation between Lang Team and Eurosport covers not only the transmission of the Tour de Pologne for the next 5 consecutive seasons but also the development of two other races — Tour de Pologne Women and ORLEN Nations Grand Prix — which will also be available for viewing on Eurosport from next year, the “home of cycling.”
After the success of this year’s edition of Tour de PologneWomen, the race has advanced to the first-category events of the International Cycling Union. Along with the broadcasts on Eurosport, the prestige of the rapidly developing race will increase even more.
We cannot forget about the ORLEN Nations Grand Prix, which is one of the most important events for riders under 23. Thanks to extensive highlights, this competition will also be able to be followed on Eurosport.
“I really care about organizing the ORLEN Nations Grand Prix. We focus on the top, World Tour, but there will be no good World Tour if there are no events after the junior category in which young riders could compete. Sponsors will not be able to show themselves in the media, and a gap will be created, resulting in a lack of cyclists,” explained Czesław Lang.
Establishing cooperation with Eurosport is a big step forward for each of the races.
“For the last few years, we have shown 100% of the women’s World Tour, and from 2025, when Tour de Polognewill be on Eurosport, we will probably show 100% of the men’s World Tour. We broadcast road cycling, track cycling, mountain biking, etc. On Eurosport, we have 300 days of racing throughout the year — it is the only channel where you can see so much cycling. We have over 1000 cycling events annually, 4000 hours of broadcasts, and attract over 110 million viewers to the screens each year in 65 countries around the world,” said Łukasz Fijałkowski, Operations Director of Eurosport.
Next year, the 82nd Tour de Pologne will take place from August 4th to 10th. The dates for the ORLEN Nations Grand Prix and Tour de Pologne Women are already known. The first event will take place from 14th to 18th May, and the women’s race will start just two days after the conclusion of the 82nd Tour de Pologne and will end on August 14th.
