The five stages of the ORLEN Nations Grand Prix 2023 were unveiled today in Prague

Today, at the Hotel Orea Pyramida in Prague – Czech Republic, LANG TEAM presented the route of the ORLEN Nations Grand Prix, which will take place from between May 24th and  28th.

The ORLEN Nations Grand Prix 2023, which is the first of the three races of the UCI Nation’s Cup Under 23, will in 5 stages visit three countries: Hungary, Slovakia and Poland. Competed in National Teams, it is one of the most important stage races on the Under 23 years UCI category and welcomes the best nations of the UCI Under 23 Classification but also the best young talented riders from around the globe.

We are really proud and honored to be part of the UCI Nation’s Cup Under 23 and to develop this competition with the objective to become a reference stage race for all the National Teams. Therefore, we decided with Czeslaw Land to build the race on 5 days – which is 3 more stages than in the past – and to visit not only Poland but also other surrounding countries from Central Europe. Prague and the Czech Republic provided the backdrop for the presentation of the ORLEN Nations Grand Prix 2023 and LANG TEAM is already looking to integrate Czech Republic in the following edition of the race. In the meantime, for this season, elites and amateurs riders will instead have the opportunity to participate in a special Challenge to be held under the form of a Mountain Individual Time Trial on May 21th on one of the toughest climb of Czech Republic between Loučná nad Desnou and Dlouhé Stráně. This ORLEN Nations Grand Prix Challenge, sponsored by ORLEN Benzina,  open to everybody, will allow cyclists to compare themselves to the best time realized by some former profesionals and will be a  “prelude” of the ORLEN Nations Grand Prix.

As we anticipated, we would like next year to hold a stage of the ORLEN Nations Grand Prix in the Czech Republic. This season, however, we wanted to think to amateurs cyclists and offer them a challenge that allows to discover a place where cycling and nature are  connected. The race will be largeky covered by the media, in particular on TV with a 26 minutes daily highlights summary produced and distributed around the World for the first three stages while the two final stages during the weekend will offer live coverage of more than 2 hours produced by TVP Sport on national network.

  • Stage 2: Thursday May 25th: Hatvan – Bükkszentkereszt | Hungary
  • Stage 3: Friday May 26th: Levoča- Štrbské Pleso | Slovakia
  • Stage 4: Saturday May 27th: BUKOVINA Resort – Nowy Sącz | Poland
  • Stage 5: Sunday May 28th: Sanok – Hotel Arłamów | Poland
