The ORLEN Nations Grand Prix is a new event on Poland’s cycling calendar. An exceptional race that evokes those times when riders competed in their national colours. Because the ORLEN Nations Grand Prix will see teams representing their countries compete just like at the Olympic Games or World Championships. This will mean Polish fans will have the chance to cheer on those competitors wearing red and white shirts.

The ORLEN Nations Grand Prix is one of the events in the series of UCI Nations Cup cycle races that has been organized since 2007 and has gained enormous popularity all over the world. Over the last dozen or so years, UCI Nations Cup U23 races have been won by Fabio Aru, Tom Dumoulin, Nairo Quintana, Bauke Mollema and Fernando Gaviria. This year’s series features seven races, including Gent – Wevelgem in Belgium, the Peace Race in the Czech Republic, the Tour de L’Avenir in France and our own ORLEN Nations Grand Prix in Poland.

This year’s ORLEN Nations Grand Prix will be played out in the beautiful mountain scenery of the Polish Tatras, on routes familiar to all from the royal stages of the Tour de Pologne UCI World Tour. On Saturday, June 1st, riders will compete in a team-based time trial, and on Sunday, June 2nd fans will get to witness a race from a common start.
