Less than 100 days remain until the start of the sixth edition of the ORLEN Nations Race. The event, like last year, will start outside Poland.
Final preparations are underway for the route of the upcoming U23 race for riders from the national teams, who will race in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland as part of the UCI U23 Nations Cup. John Lelangue, general manager of Lang Team, held a site inspection of two stages of this year’s event in the Czech Republic. The next three stages will take place in Slovakia and Poland.
“We strongly focus on the development of young talents, and the ORLEN Nations Grand Prix is a very good opportunity for riders to not only gain experience and fight for victory, but also to show what they can do and thus pave the way to the WorldTour. – emphasises Czeslaw Lang, general director of Lang Team. – The top riders of the last year’s edition, are already riding for WorldTour teams such as UAE Team Emirates, EF Education-EasyPost, Intermache-Wanty. I am happy that we can organise the race in areas where our title sponsor, ORLEN, is present.
Last year, the ORLEN Nations Grand Prix started in Hungary, then the peloton moved to Slovakia and Poland, where in Arłamów we met the winner, who turned out to be Slovenian Gal Glivar. The 21-year-old represents the UAE Team Emirates Gen Z and has already won a stage and the general classification of the Tour of Sharjah this season.
The 2024 ORLEN Nations Grand Prix will be held from May 15 to 19.
