ORLEN Nations Grand Prix: where the next generation grows up

Olav Kooij (Jumbo-Visma) and Marijn van den Berg (EF Education-EasyPost) were among the big stars of yesterday’s stage at the Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour. Both riders have strong links with Poland and the Lang Team.

In the 2020 edition, Olav Kooij won both stages of the ORLEN Nations Grand Prix and the overall classification, while in the 2021 edition, Marijn van den Berg did exactly the same, taking the victory and title of the winner.

In addition, five of the six riders who represented the Dutch national team in the ORLEN Nations Gran Prix in 2021 are competing in this year’s Tour de Pologne.

“It’s important to provide young riders opportunities to thrive,” explains Czesław Lang, president of the Lang Team “That’s why we invest in the Orlen Nations Gran Prix, where young riders can express their abilities and gain international experience. There are other athletes in the peloton who have taken part in this competition in the past. It fills us with pride to contribute to their growth and witness them go on to compete in the most important races worldwide.”
