GOOD MORNING ORLEN NATIONS GRAND PRIX

The second and final stage in the first edition of the ORLEN NATIONS GRAND PRIX is today.

France’s Clément Champoussin will have to defend the general classification leader’s jersey, which he won yesterday with his team mates in the opening team time trial.

Today’s stage will take off from the Bukovina Resort and will wrap up in Bukowina Tatrzanska after 113 km. The riders will face an insidious and spectacular route, where there will be plenty of altimetric challenges. This second stage of the ORLEN NATIONS GRAND PRIX will cover part of the same route that has served as the setting for the conclusive stage of the Tour de Pologne for the past several years.

It’s going to be a really hard race and very split up in groups,” says Anders Lund, Sport Director of Denmark National Team. “I expect, espacially in the last part of the course. And the French, the have really good precision and three guys in the General Classification. They rode really well yesterday, so we expect them to be strong again today. But it’s also a very difficult race to control on this course, so it’s going to be difficult for them to control but anyway in the end it’s going to be a matter of how strong you are.”
