The time has come for the grande finale of the ORLEN Nations Grand Prix. The general classification is still wide open, and the route of the last stage strongly encourages riders to attack. Everything will be decided on the climb to the Hotel Arłamów, where we will find out the winner of the 6th edition of the race!
The Sunday stage of the ORLEN Nations Grand Prix will be a beautiful culmination of five days of competition among the best U23 riders in the world. Riders will start in Lesko, Lesko County, ready for nearly 150 challenging kilometers. The route is filled with climbs, and everything will be decided on the Bieszczady round near Hotel Arłamów.
However, before the riders reach the crucial part of the stage, they will also face many difficult climbs. Just over 50 kilometers from the finish line, they will arrive at Hotel Arłamów, where the first mountain bonus will be located. Then, they will face the extremely difficult walls in Gruszowa and Kalwaria Pacławska – there, cyclists will fight for the last points for the mountain classification in this year’s edition.
The stage will end with a tough, selective climb to Hotel Arłamów, where last year Antonio Morgado, now a rider for UAE Team Emirates, one of the best teams in the world, emerged victorious. The situation in the general classification is thrilling, with the Frenchmen Mathys Rondel and Brieuc Rolland in the lead. However, the gaps are not large, and third-placed Matthew Brennan is only 16 seconds behind the leader.
There are also 3 Belgians in the top 10, who will try to use their numerical advantage in terrain favorable to them. Great excitement is in store!
